How did you get into wedding planning? It was early this year that I decided to step away from the corporate world and go after my passions: The Events Industry. Having a project management background helps a lot in planning and managing any type of event the right way. I decided to add wedding planning to my portfolio because it fascinates me what love does to people. It fills me with happiness to be a key player in creating one of the most unforgettable days of every couple out there. Having managed various projects in the past, the end goal has always been to improve the customer experience hence bringing that to my clients and ensuring that their experience has been top notch, is what I love doing.
What is it you LOVE about wedding planning? I love meeting different couples, getting to know their stories and see how love brings together people from different cultures. It is fascinating how diverse people can be and every wedding is about telling a unique story. The beauty of wedding planning is that you will never have to plan the same exact event due to the different styles and stories of the love birds. I love listening to my clients requirements and creating something unique because every couple is special. It fascinates me how some want to have a small intimate wedding with the closest friends and family and some others want to have a big Disney fairy tale wedding. Not only is an exciting journey but I am constantly exposed and learning about different cultures and traditions on a daily basis, which makes me want to go on and never stop what I do.
Favourite wedding trend? I am a strong believer that every couple creates their own trend based on their story, style and preferences. I personally love the soft pink and pastel colours for any wedding décor as well as the tall wedding flower centrepieces. I also like the hanging floral and greenery installations for that magic big day. Being a nature lover, outdoor venues with beautiful sea views can be great as you can go crazy with bright colours or just of a more subtle look depending on the couple’s style.
Top tip for wedding couples:
Make sure you get some help and find a planner that is flexible enough to accommodate your needs
Enjoy the process of planning your wedding as you will learn more than you ever thought about each other tastes and expectations
Don’t look at planning your wedding as a stressful process – that’s why I am here to take the stress away from you and make sure you enjoy every step of it
It is very important to know your limits and have a budget. You might want to go all in but if that means you going bankrupt, I would try and re-prioritise what matters and get rid of the things that are not so valuable for your special day
Enjoy every bit of it as the actual day goes by pretty quick!
How did you get into wedding planning? Recognising my skill & passion very early on in my life; it stemmed from my childhood where I would organise & plan everything I possibly could! I moved to Melbourne in 2016 & found an absolute love & passion about EVERYTHING Weddings, there is not a detail I don’t like, so putting two & two together I started getting some experience in the industry until today where I run my own business; living the dream every single day!
What is it you LOVE about wedding planning? We could be here all day..! First of all I love the energy about a Wedding, it is always happiness, love, bringing two families together.. I really love the tradition of it all. I love being able to make someones day as special as it deserves to be, I love taking care of all the finer details so that the Bride, Groom & their families can enjoy every single moment of it without having to worry or stress, I LOVE taking the reins & working my expertise & of course I love the organising of it all.
Favourite wedding trend?Lace Wedding dresses such as Grace loves Lace or Galia Lahav !
Top tip for wedding couples: At the very least get a Wedding Coordinator – for on the day! Let us handle the stress & finer details while you enjoy this one beautiful day with your new wife/husband, family & friends. If you can – hire a Wedding Planner to assist with the entire planning – we are worth the investment & I hear a lot of Bride’s say that is something they regret not getting. We all know we can plan our own Wedding however having the extra pair of hands & of course the professional with all the insider knowledge (we have organised more Weddings than you..!) & vendor connections to save money where possible.
Stefanie is available to book as a wedding planner in the Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast or Brisbane but also happily travels around Queensland for weddings on request. Simply let us know your location when getting a FREE QUOTE and we’ll be sure to price any transport in.

How did you get into wedding planning? I have been in the hospitality industry since the age of 18. I fell in love with customer service, great food and the thrill that came from being a part of exceeding expectations and making someones day. I was first introduced to the wedding industry when working in Queenstown NZ at Matakauri Lodge and Amisfield Winery, 2 very iconic and high end venues.
I worked as a part of teams of passionate people who went above and beyond to achieve the end result of a beautiful event and I have since loved being a part of couples special day. I also continue to be blown away by love at each and every wedding. (I might wipe away a tear to two!)
What is it you LOVE about wedding planning? Having worked in the industry for over 15 years I love being able to point couples in the direction of great suppliers. There are So.Many.Options out there that it can he incredibly difficult to find the right person/price who delivers what they promise. It’s really rewarding to help couples skip the bulk of the research part, sifting out hundreds of suppliers who don’t fit what they are looking for, and connect them instead immediately with awesome suppliers.
To me, wedding planning is about allowing the couple to focus on what the day is about, and allowing someone else to worry about the details, run around in the rain changing set up requirements, ushering guests to the spots they need to be – etc. It’s about taking the stress off you, and I love that
Favourite wedding trend? Trends come and go and I’m a big believer in going for a look that you LOVE. I personally adore the lush green look – overflowing bouquets, hanging greens and garlands – *swoon*!
Greenery can be paired with natural wood or vintage items or can be glammed up with a hint of gold. Beautiful!
Top tip for wedding couples:
Be really clear about what YOU want. Is that a beach wedding with 20 of your nearest and dearest, or is it a ballroom fit for 400 of your friends and family. Create a vision board for it so you can look back at the feel of what you are going for when you get stuck.
Know what you can afford. The 400 person event or the horse and carriage or the drone footage might be on the wish list but are they going to fit your budget? what can you edit without it impacting on the end result? Or, do you need another 6 months of savings to make the dreams happen? Wedding planning is stressful enough. Don’t add money issues to it or the pressure of this on your relationship.
