It’s 2020 and in the middle of a pandemic your partner just asked you to spend forever with them! Now the question: how do I (and should I?) start planning a wedding during a pandemic…and make it stress-free?
Below we’re sharing some of our tips for saving your sanity while planning your nuptials (and no, a pandemic shouldn’t stop you!)
Hire a Wedding Planner
We may be a bit biased but it is one of THE best investments you’ll make! You know that one corner of your house that collects clutter and the sigh of relief when you finally organize it? When you invest in a wedding planner, we’re that sigh of relief. We will be your go-to for questions, styling, and flawlessly executing your vision. Plus, with regulations constantly evolving, we can be the point of contact in the event of needing to make any adjustments. Say hello to your new best friend!
Start your dress shopping online
If you’ve created that dream dress board on Pinterest, now is the time to kick that dream into reality! Think about what silhouettes and details you are attracted to and start making a list of gowns you think you’d like to try on.
Tip: Don’t overwhelm yourself by booking tons of appointments, you’ll end up confusing yourself trying on dress after dress (yes, we know it’s fun!) If you insist on visiting a few shops, stick to a maximum of 3. Trust your stylist, when you put on “the one,” you’ll know!
Go the digital route
Designing the perfect invites, custom calligraphy, beautifully lined envelopes. While it’s a nice touch, it can also take a toll on your budget! By choosing the digital route for your invitations (which can still be customized just like paper invites), you can kiss goodbye tracking down RSVP’s, as well as easily make changes with a click of a button.
Pick a venue that offers an all-inclusive package
If you thought the venue was just the space to hold your event and the rest was on you, think again! Many venues offer an all-inclusive package which can include your tables, chairs, dance floor, and more! Rentals can add up quickly so not only will you save time finding vendors to rent these items from, but also money!
Just because a venue offers an all-inclusive package, doesn’t mean you HAVE to use what they offer. If you would rather rent your own chairs, go for it! Just ensure to communicate this with your vendor and brainstorm with your wedding planner as they can point you in the direction of vendors they love and trust!
